Newcastle Digest 30 July

Explore local treasures, catch up on the latest news, and plan your perfect weekend in Newcastle.

Good morning, Newcastle! Welcome back to the Newcastle Digest.

A gastro bug has run rampant in the Digest household, so this edition is not as jam-packed as normal. I still have added enough for you to get by this weekend.

Keep in mind, we are supposed to have a spell of wet weather, so some outdoor events may be cancelled.

Union Street Pastry

Last week I introduced Union Street Pastry, I could not resist getting my hands on a pastry asap.

They had a wide range of pastries, both sweet and savoury. We tried a berry danish and a ham and cheese danish. As well as the pastries, they also serve delicious coffee. This is a must-try and highly recommended.

Location: 9 Union Street, Wickham, Newcastle
